Third-year learner Morgan Pritchard’s dissertation will come to life in a virtual reality environment thanks to her IoT course.
She is preparing to create a 360-degree immersive maze in the Igloo, a 3D space at Blackpool and the Fylde College.
Morgan was one of the first learners enrolled at the Lancashire and Cumbria Institute of Technology and is now coming to the end of her Level 6 Software Engineering course. She was drawn to the course due to a passion for computers and gaming.
“The course has been great and the equipment at the college really makes a difference,” she said. “We have a virtual reality treadmill and driving simulators available to us, as well as a computing lab we use for classes. I’d suggest anyone interested in computing come and do this course, it’s great and the staff are really helpful.”
